it coming when he left. But while he wanted to lull the alpha into a sense of security, he couldn't stop thinking about what Robin said. He was a prize. Eddie won him in battle, paid for him with the head of his wed husband. He loved Eddie for freeing him. He hated Eddie for capturing him again.

At night, in the canvas tent with only the slick stained bedding and Steve's wedding quilt for comfort and warmth, Steve simmers with these thoughts. He stays away, curled up on his side for as long as he can bear. "Finally," the alpha murmurs when Steve reaches out for him in feverish desperation.

"🕈︎♒︎⍓︎🕯︎❒︎♏︎ you ⬧︎□︎ mad, ●︎♓︎⧫︎⧫︎●︎♏︎ ♌︎♏︎♋︎⬧︎⧫︎?"The alpha says as he nuzzles Steve's sweating temple. Steve sighs as he places a hand between his legs. He licks over Steve's mouth.

Steve opens up to him easily, his mouth for his tongue, his legs for his hot stem, his arms to hold him close. He recognizes a few words and repeats them between wet kisses; "I need... you... need you /now/," he says, emphasizing the word he's been teaching Eddie. The alpha groans, nodding.

"Now, yes," Eddie repeats, positioning himself to rub his thick stem over Steve's aching lips, moaning as they touch. While it feels amazing on his heat, it's not what he wants and he whines; "No Eddie, now, now." Eddie ignores him, thrusting to slide between his lips up to his twitching stem.

Instead, he grins, happily teasing the omega into a desperate frenzy. "Say it." Steve's face heats, but he pants, "Please, please," in his own language because more than any word, this is the one that the alpha loves to hear from his lips. Holding a piece of food in front of his mouth; "please"

Wanting to take a bath in the slow moving river; "please" Needing Eddie to brush his hair or help him dress; "please" Whatever it was, Eddie would do it or get it for him, once he realized what it was Steve was saying. Now he thrusts deep, grinning widely at the long, loud moan that slips out.

Steve immediately clamps his hands over his own mouth, trying to stifle the noises he knows will elicit winks in the morning. There's no way to hide their coupling; there's only the thin cloth tents separating them all. Even turning around in his sleep could be heard by a dozen others but still,

he burned thinking that everyone could hear them; that they knew the intimate details of how Eddie took his heat nightly. But Eddie seemed to make it his goal each night to make Steve forget and moan with such wanton abandon that it could be heard on the outer edge of their camp by the sentries.

He bends and folds Steve into whatever position he desires and Steve can only muffle his moaning as the alpha pounds into him, brought to whimpers at his rough treatment and then pleading for more when he slows to an agonizing pace. "My sweet princess," he murmurs into Steve's cheek. "Need more?"

"Hahh hah! Eddie, yes, more, h-harder," he gasps, speaking in Eddie's language again. He has to give up stifling his noises to wrap his arms and legs around the alpha, clutching him closer. But he presses his face into the freshly healed bite mark on the alpha's neck, muffling his keening there.

A ragged moan in his ear and Eddie increases his speed, grunting with each sharp slap forward that rings in the night. Steve's high gasps, "Ah! Ah!" seem to spur him on, purring deeply as Steve rolls his hips into Eddie's rhythm.

Eddie stopped flashing his fangs and snapping his teeth at him and just looks into his eyes longingly when they're joined by his swell but he still wanted it. Even now he buries his face in Steve's neck, breathing deeply, breath hitching, and finally releases pressed close to Steve's skin.

But while Eddie's swell expands and he sighs and groans and relaxes, Steve has only just begun to crest and he reaches between their bodies to touch his stem with his fingers. Eddie nuzzles against his jaw, purring, before angling his body so he can watch the omega rub himself to completion.

Eddie kisses him lazily after, eyes falling closed between pecks, yawning widely even before his swell has gone down. He wakes up enough to press Steve's knees back – raising up his hips to keep his seed inside, he's figured out. Steve imagines it flowing down to pool in his belly, taking root,

growing, and quickly pushes the thought away. Eddie kisses his ankle bone after, staring deep into Steve's eyes. There's longing there. He knows the alpha's fangs are hidden behind his lip but Steve still draws Eddie down to bed with him, curling up in Eddie's arms while his heartbeat slowly calms

He can smell the arousal and desire in the alpha's scent. It fills his head with its cool spring water, the grounding earthiness. Eddie kisses his temple and scents the crown of his head with a low hum, a purr, still on his breath. Tears sting at his eye.

Why did the alpha even bother with this sweet, gentle facade when he all but owned him? When he could just take him when he finally decided to. Lips press to his forehead; Eddie sighing sleepily as he settled down with the omega in his arms. He yawned. "Goodnight... Stevie. ⬧︎●︎♏︎♏︎... ⬧︎●︎♏︎..." and is

snoring before he can finish the thought. Steve stays awake in the warm circle of the alpha's embrace; listening to his steady heartbeat and waiting until enough time has gone by that he knows Eddie is really truly asleep so he can slip out of the exhausted alpha's slack embrace.

Steve sat up and looked down at his peacefully sleeping face. Mouth open, snoring, snorting on every inhale. Steve forces down the smile that dares to twitch on his lip. He takes in the wild locks of dark waves and curls so stark on his pale skin. His naked body, exposed and vulnerable.

The dagger is in his hands. His heartbeat is so slow. Whole days and nights between each thump. Thump, the fear in his chest as Robin readied him for his vows, Thump, standing at the alter, woozy with heat, Thump, a shiver of death on the alpha's lips,

Thump, the door bursting open before Steve could follow Robin down the makeshift rope, Thump, his gasp as he saw Steve in the window, Thump, wrestling him across the floor, Thump, blood pouring into his mouth at his teeth dug deep into flesh,

Thump, deep brown eyes looking at him with wonder, curious, and gleaming, Thump, the same brown eyes fluttering open as Steve straddles his waist, Thump, Steve raises the dagger high, Underneath him, Eddie blinks in the darkness, tenses, then relaxes as he looks up at the omega about to strike
