It's sad to think that it's someone's job to work hard at trying to make the UI as horrible as possible on purpose. And most likely they are an oppressed UI designer who actually wants to make great UI but aren't allowed to.

Gotta love "Dark Patterns" as well, where a few accidental button presses *just so happen* to cause the player to instantly buy something without any secondary confirmation. "Oh you were just mashing A on the main menu while loading? that does start the game silly, it buys a skin!"
