I have migrated CatDat yesterday and must say that I don't like all these .js extensions. I am not authoring JavaScript files anymore, why should I import them? This feels like something that a framework (in particular a compiler!) should abstract away.

You can import .ts files. Explicit ext is so much better. This kind of thing is out of scope for svelte. If anything, it should be resolved upstream via node or typescript.

I didn't know. Why does the migration script make .js then?

To be safe. But i think it's the wrong behaviour. Going to ask them to change it.

Thank you! I changed all the .js to .ts and life is better now. At least, a bit. 😅
