This was Biden's big failure. We did our part, the voters, we gave the Dems four full years to close the door on autocracy, they naively thought they could do it by demonstrating how nice it was to have a democracy. Imagine FDR with a similar response to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

If the Democrats want to reboot this is where it starts. They say "This was Biden's big failure.." This is why we lost confidence. We can't begin to trust them until they fully understand that being a pussycat is no answer being overthrown, even if it only lasted a few hours the first time.

Want to go for the home run? A few days later Kamala Harris gives a very short speech herself saying the big mistake she made was not campaigning on the platform that "Biden fucked up bigtime, he didn't close and the door." And then she would retire, step back and let us start over.

We need the Democrats to stop being so selfish. Biden's legacy is set. He was the biggest failure as a president. The consequences of his failure are locked in. Stop believing otherwise, the evidence is in front of our eyes. Stop pretending we can't see, we can.
