His point is actually correct - the arguments about "cancelation" and "woke" have been going on for decades under different names like "PC" etc, and the culture war is the same old bullshit weaponized by bad actors. But it sure is framed here to look reactionary!

And that's just it, innit, framing? Seen him responding in Insta comments along the lines of "anyone who sets out to offend is a twat, and that's their right as much as it's mine to call them a twat."

It was my comment he was responding to there. I’ll take it as a response, but he does need to get better at optics with these things.
