In Cambodia, half the operations to detect active cases of tuberculosis have halted. They estimate it has led to around 100,000 people missing screening, 300 drug resistant TB cases going undiagnosed, and 10,000 drug susceptible cases going undiagnosed.

The disruptions have also halted tuberculosis screening in many regions in Bangladesh, Tanzania, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Philippines and Ethiopia. Tuberculosis is the leading infectious cause of death in many poor countries.

US stopping USaid is bad enough but to do it without warning or a grace period to allow agencies to seek funding from elsewhere and prepare is inhumane, should be criminal negligence
