I’ve been building my own software factory over the past year. It again changed the way how I do software engineering fundamentally - similar delta compared to coding by hand vs using agents. I’m thinking of writing a blog post about it. What are your biggest questions?

Biggest question: where does orchestration stop and product judgment start? A software factory can automate PRs, tests, deploy triage, etc., but the hard part is deciding what not to build.

Excellent point. That's exactly why I separate the intent layer from the implementation layer. I'm spending most of my time in the intent layer and trying to automate everything else.

That separation is underrated. Intent layers should stay small, inspectable, and versioned; implementation can churn underneath. Otherwise automation slowly turns product judgment into invisible glue code.
