Last week I did a thread about how in Band-Aids & Bullet Holes you can change the whole genre of the game from John Wick to Constantine by giving someone the calling card "the fairy king's true name". I got a bunch of contributors to write new card packs like this, and I wanna show them off!

@johnharper.bsky.social's doing a list of vehicles - I pitched him on this after seeing what he's cooking up with Ride or Die. John Wick has a car, but when everyone's got a ride you get something like a Fast & Furious mashup. Or you just get one loon who never gets out of his firetruck, both work.

Ride or Die is pretty minimalist in its rules, so I'm going maximalist in presentation. Having way too much fun. :)

@wilkiescandylab.com's doing "neo-Western," like Fargo or Hell or High Water. What if "the City" was instead "the state of Texas?" I love Mikey's innovation of calling cards as bits of dialog. Not pictured: "save a cow, eat a cowgirl"

Lady Tabletop did the Urban Fantasy playset I kicked off with here. A lot of these are also coming with new venues or venue calling cards. Some of those from LT: “The veil is thin here”, corpse-bitten furniture, smoke pouring over the threshhold

@notwritinggames.bsky.social is doing cyberpunk. It's so easy to make BABH cyberpunk it's almost unsettling to me. Also why do most of these genre-changes still have an associated Keanu movie? Who can say. Some favs from the venues list not pictured: hover car traffic jam, pawnshop full of limbs

Finally @thesamroberts.com is doing street-level superheroes. This one's going to want custom characters and powder-keg (aka relationship map), but I think the flexibility of calling cards will makes this a great system for superpowers. Can't wait to get this one in front of people.

And then @seraphimseraphina.bsky.social is doing a Triangle Agency playset! I talked about crossover sets like this in a thread last week where I also showed off a Blades in the Dark playset:

Band-Aids & Bullet Holes & Blades in the Dark: someone killed you. Figure out who and take your revenge before the Spirit Wardens catch up with you or you go feral like every other ghost you've ever known...

Huge thanks to all these contributors! Even if you never play BABH, I think the tech of "give your character 2-3 calling cards -> lean into them hard" is good memorable character tech for any game. Come browse these lists next time you play any game or write a few of your own. It's fun! Try it out!
