I submitted the following papers to #apexconn25: - Fighting Bad PL/SQL & SQL with VS Code - The Trivadis PL/SQL & SQL Coding Guidelines are Dead – What Now? Since I feel bad submitting only in German, I tried something new. I submitted the "same" abstract in both English and German.

I'm not sure that the option "English or German" is sufficient. You will also need to provide the title/abstract in both languages. Asking: "Is there anyone here who doesn't understand German?" is not fair if you expect the talk to be in English. Especially if you plan to watch the recording.

Ah. I was more thinking that the abstract committee still decides if they want the talk in English or German. I guess they follow quotas and then can more easily plan the agenda. When a talk gets accepted they can then ask to provide a translated abstract if necessary.

It's certainly an option. However, I think it is less work for conference organisers to have the relevant translations in advance. Otherwise they have to hunt down the speakers to provide the translations. And the time between acceptance and publication of the agenda is usually quite short.

Being one of the organizers I can confirm this. In general, the more you give us, the more easier it is to give the audience the best possible conference schedule. If you feel comfortable doing a session in English, please submit as such, but be quick: deadline is 2-DEC 23:59:59 CET. ☺️
