My 2025 talk 'Gyms, Zoos, and Museums: Your documentation should be in-game' is now also available in text format, for those who like to read instead of watch: rystorm.com/blog/gyms-zo... And if you haven't seen it yet, there is an all new video too, with bonus material on the history of Zoos!

Thank you to many folks for their feedback, compliments, and suggestions on this talk, article, and video over the last year. I super appreciate all of it, and I am glad folks have enjoyed it. And I am even happier to see so many more folks using Gyms, Zoos, and Museums!

hi! super interesting video, i had a question - do you know if there's an automated way to create a zoo in Unreal included in the engine? i half expected there to be one, but research doesn't bring up much

The Actor Palette sort of tries to do this, but as far as I know there is no such fully automated Zoo creation system like AssetPlacer is for Godot.

Thank you to everyone who shared my Gyms, Zoos, and Museum article last week! Even the YouTube video now has more than 50.000 views: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PJR... And a big thanks to everyone who shares Gyms, Zoos, and Museums from their own games as well as past games, I really appreciate it!

Seeing a Gym from a game released in 1991, as well as a Museum from 2025, shows how important these techniques have been to game development for many decades now.
