The leftist ran well behind the latest polling in both cases; while centrist media bias is real, you’d see the opposite trend in coverage if Crowley and Stevens had both been polling at +10 the night before.

These newpapers simply do not want any democrats to win. They prefer republicans. We are reading political analysis from people who like our current government and want to keep it the way that it is. It would make great clickable news if democrats took over. They would rather that not happen.

absolutely beyond question. a DSA candidate coming within a whisker of winning in WISCONSIN, while being outspent 15-1, never ever would have happened 5 or even 10 years ago

Okay they are not great headlines, but the context is Abdul was polling like 7+ or 10+ and barely eked it out. And Hong was polling at 38% with Crowley at 7% in July with many undecideds, and Crowley still pulled it out: that does indicate some dysfunction or limits to Hong as a candidate.
