My stack for 2025 is going to be dotnet + SvelteKit. I'm leaving Node for backend which I've been using for about a decade now.

Yeah dotnet is a no brainer for pure backend projects. Perf is way beyond anything in JS. AOT .NET is super mature and has everything you need (DB driver, ORM, validation, auth, etc). C# is great. No need to mess with TS crap. You know your deps won't disappear or become unmaintained. Etc.

I've genuinely considered reverse engineering SvelteKit a little to make its +page.server.ts an actual API endpoint (whilst the client files are just hosted static files). Thankfully, I'm too busy for that.
