Need to buy 2 new HDDs (and RAM). Should've bought them a year ago

A coworker building a new PC told me about this, price jump is crazy. Over 2x in many cases for storage (RAM is even more egregious) and it was already a bit high With the market as it is, probably won’t get better for years either :/

Yeah, hardware prices are insane. The XBox price jumped from 400 to 600 euro, earlier this month. I guess for the same reason. The AI bubble can't pop soon enough.

I worry that when it does burst, the data centers will flood the market with abused (and likely fraudulently labeled) used hardware, causing manufacturers to cut back production and giving consumers another 2-3 years of misery. When crypto started failing a lot of GPUs were resold as “new”.
