The closed beta for the fairy tale-inspired action adventure title will be available on PC and include the first few hours of the game. Those interested in participating can sign up on the game's website, and will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement if selected. Rise of the Spellbaker puts players in the role of a witch who finds herself the sole survivor of an unknown plague, which breaks out after the Harvest Festival in the world of Khemia where she lives in harmony with the other people and creatures. Joined by her cat familiar and unlikely allies, including talking sourdough Hermann and the floury Biscies, she must fight back against the Rot using the powerful magic of spellbaking and forgotten recipes. The game includes co-op multiplayer for up to six players and is planned to release in 2027 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
