Turo is all fun and games until your host goes AWOL and leaves you stranded outside a locked car in the BWI car park at 1 AM.

At least the $70 Lyft to Virginia was entertaining. The driver was showing footage from his wall of shame customers. Found another Turo here that ended up with me breaking even, including Lyfts to and from BWI.

It wasn't a scam, just an inattentive host. They finally replied to me at 3 AM and called again this morning. I told them politely to kick rocks.

0 for 2. I can't believe I got catfished by a Turo listing. Already returned and refunded. I used to sing the praises of this app but goddamn what a nightmare.

I used to rent out my old Dodge Grand Caravan on Turo. The shit that some renters would do to my van or try to pull on me to scam out of paying for rentals was amazing. Not all renters, like maybe 2%. But enough to make me stop.
