Just rolled out my first prod release with Shorebird included. Let's hope we won't have to use it. #flutter

We've had over 15,000 people sign up for Shorebird in the last year, and it's been very interesting to see how different teams use the product. Some use it just for emergencies, as you note, but others use it for internal distribution, or some even update users on every commit!

The more I think about it, the more I would love to distribute some incremental improvements as soon as they are available. We used to have release every two weeks but it was quite straining to QA. Being able to push single commits could make it more distributed in time.

In tst it worked flawlessly. We distribute the tst flavor of the app through testflight and closed lane in google play - the updates among the team were quite seamless, didn't notice any performance impact. For now the only significant change is the bundle size increase (+9MB on iOS, +2 on Android).

The bundle size is something we can bring way down, it's due to our Rust dependencies pulling in the kitchen sink. 😭 So few people have noticed in the last year that it's not made it to the top of the list yet: github.com/shorebirdtec...
