I may be barking up the wrong tree, but is there any JS tooling that gives the DX of barrel imports with the performance of granular “deep” imports? I’d be willing to opt-in by marking which files/directories/exports are side-effect free.

Alternatively, maybe just a VS Code plugin where import { x } from ‘@proj/foo/x’ and import { y } from ‘@proj/foo/y’ are visually streamlined to import { x, y } from ‘@proj/foo’ even if the underlying files retain the verbose deep imports? Or, other ideas?
