In 2017 I was a student minding my own business when suddenly my language studies brought me into contact with Noam Chomsky. His writings on power, foreign policy and climate inspired me to act. So I joined the university fossil fuel divestment campaign. We won a £2m divestment in 8 months 🎊

After this win, I felt the codes of social change within my grasp. I quit Uni and joined @rogerhallam.bsky.social and @gailbradbrook.bsky.social in a small group called Rising Up. There we experimented with nonviolent direct action and debated on campaigns for the coming year of 2018.

First up was the XR prequel, VoteNoHeathrow. Against the expansion of the biggest carbon infrastructure I went on a 2-week hunger strike and starred in a BBC3 miniseries on young activism. youtu.be/Ei-a_Rbe8TU?...

Since May 2020, I have suffered from the chronic Long Covid symptoms of headaches and fatigue. Whilst I recover, I love to write stories and to share the codes for social change. There is nothing like seeing someone's dispondency ignite into a fulfilling passion.
