here's the thing about the courts: we actually need more judges! everyone is overworked and cases often linger for ages because there's just not enough capacity in the system to get to them what I'm saying here is the supreme court isn't the only part of the courts we can pack

Yesterday, the Senate confirmed Katie Lane to a lifetime federal judgeship in Montana even though she earned a rare and embarrassing "not qualified" rating by the American Bar Assn. First of Trump 2.0 court picks to get this rating -- and to be confirmed anyway. www.huffpost.com/entry/senate...

We're genuinely in a situation where we need more everything, such is life when you have a country of 350 million people and a quarter of that population is at an age where people wouldn't question their retirement

There was an article recently about John Fetterman and the guy who explains Israel to him. And like it was clear that he just showed up one day, and has like 0 qualifications. Which like, *is* scary... But also... Everyone else... You can just do that.

Lemme tell you senators... Do you want your own personal tranny, who can divine the future and offer advice? We can see the future; historically we were oracles and shamanesses. You just need to trust us that we can fulfill our role. Which is telling you about impending doom! [This is a joke]

We also need more court personnel! More clerks, law clerks/court attorneys, etc. it’s going to be even worse as AI also results in more filings for the courts to handle. The system is dramatically understaffed

Well known atheist communist Jimmy Carter expanded the federal bench by a third! We should expand the number of federal circuits to 15 (and add supporting judges to existing circuits), then expand the number of SCOTUS judges to match the number of circuit courts.
