It's kind of like the night when I figured out that Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy weren't real. Coming to the realization that something I believed for years was a lie.

I first asked myself, "Am I gay?" back in 2003, but the question has especially been at the forefront of my mind for the past several weeksโ€”maybe months.

As of this moment, I no longer feel like the question is unresolved. I don't feel like there's anymore questions to ask, people to talk to, avenues to explore. I have my answer. I'm gay.

My perceived sexuality has been a lie, just like the Easter Bunny. And I don't know how to feel. It's a lot to take in, and I have to change an entire way of thinking.
