The Medicare Open Enrollment period runs through December 7, 2026. Now is the time to join, switch, or disenroll from a Part D Prescription Drug Plan, a Medicare Advantage Plan, or switch to original Medicare with or without a Medicare Part D Plan.

Decisions about Medicare are personal, and all the options can be confusing. Trained counselors from PA MEDI, a statewide program through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, offer free, unbiased help. They don't sell insurance; they just help you determine the best Medicare plans to fit your needs

Counselors will also check to see if you qualify for any financial assistance programs to get help paying for your prescription drugs or Part B premium.
