Folks this flu that is going around is no joke. Just got over covid a few weeks ago and bam got the flu. It's the hazard of public life. Be prepared, this is a pretty stout case. Wouldn't want to do it without meds on hand. Take care of yourselves, please.

Just the flu vaccine knocked me down for a couple of days so I figured the real thing would be a doozy. Be well.🌊

Mushroom mycelium and cinnamon would give me a massive headache. Is your doctor a Doctor of Osteopathy because the MD’s I see would never advise me to put that up my nose. Saline is fine, but not the other.

No, he isn’t. He takes a holistic approach to medicine and he does recommend masking as the first line of defense. So far, I have never had COVID. I also get vaxxed.

Morning Texas Paul, good morning from the UK 1st Get Vaccinated early If i get mild flu before vaccination done, I go to step 2! Step2 Warm water with lemon & honey Eat clear Soup/Broth & to ease my head a Steam bowl, towel over head,I use afew drops of vicks

Glad you are feeling better, Paul! What meds do you keep on hand? Something over the counter? I like to be prepared, plus I am superstitious, if I have what I might need - I won’t need it! 😜 I did get a prescription from dr when I got covid, helped greatly. I love science!! 🙂

I told them over the phone you never have had chemo and now have NO defense over anything, even the common cold. I can't wait until my immunotherapy is half way thru the cycle so I can get my shot for flu and covid. Until then I have to hope for the best.

I have never gone out in public without a mask due to so many in Alaska never get the Covid shot. After 6 months of chemo I have never had anyone in the house. I need my heater vents cleaned and it is so hard for workers to understand why they need to wear masks in order to do the vent cleaning

Got my flu shot earlier this week. As for your case of Covid, do you know what the vector was that got you infected? What should we avoid doing?

Just coming off 3 weeks Covid then "bam" the flu. Ever have a deep bronchitis like cough with a migrane that makes you so physically sick that you're on the pot holding a wastebasket? Hubby got it 1st. Do not recommend🤨🤨

Paul, I got COVID a few weeks ago as well. I hope your muscle aches--particularly in the legs--weren't as painful as mine. I've never experience anything like that in my life and I hope you get to feeling much better soon.

Vaccination will prevent many infections & will definitely reduce severity of breakthrough infections... avoiding or getting greatly reduced intensity of sickness & staying out of the hospital is smart. Don't be a moron- follow legitimate science & experts (i.e. not RFK, Jr. & his ilk).

I always vaccinate. I believe this strain is one that was unexpected. At least that is what I am reading about this latest outbreak.

The antivaxx maga neighbor (she took the flags down) drove my half blind mother to a doctors appt. "Oh, its a just a cold." IT WAS COVID. Mom is 89. Now I have it. 6.5 years of doing everything I can and we get the damn thing. Mom is a retired RN. I am livid. I had to cancel my flu shot Friday.

And to those that are vaccinated: you can still get covid or the flu but at a MUCH less degree! I did happen to get covid a few years back and my doctor said that with my co-morbidity if I hadn’t gotten the vaccine I would have been in the hospital, a hella lot more sick than I was. 🙂

The shingles hurt me and swelled up my arm, and you need more than one. But, if you’ve ever known someone with shingles, it’s definitely better than that hell!

They didn’t say I need a second one. It felt like a bad bruise at first then I felt a lump under it. That’s the part that hurt. I don’t know if I’ve ever known anyone that had shingles but I hear they’re pretty horrible.

They are absolutely horrible. I remember my father getting them in the 80’s. You do need a second one. Definitely ask your doctor.
