everyone’s always “99% of jewish institutions support zionism” and forget we live in a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie and then completely abandon any sort of class analysis to pretend that these institutions are a true democratic representation of the will of the jewish people

The Jewish bourgeoisie - the donor class that pays for the new sanctuary, makes sure the budget is in the black - what interest did they have in making sure Jewish kids learned about the 19th century? Karl Marx was in the 19th century!

American Jewry has been traditionally seen as a wing of the Democratic Party; to think that Jews would somehow fare better than the Democrats in this regard is to accept the Jewish chauvinist “light unto nations” framing. We’re down in the mud with the rest of you
