feverously in favour of removing the parking here but worry that delivery drivers are just going to say screw it and keep parking there anyway.

As I recall, it was (I kid you not) a friggen’ Summer Student who came up with piece of brain surgery… and it shows. When I was summer student, we were barely allowed to pick where we got to go for lunch, let alone major traffic pattern changes. Turf it at the earliest opportunity. It’s beyond dumb🇨🇦

No. That isn’t what I am suggesting at all. Simply that, because it’s a main arterial, Regent should be remain as it once was… pre the Snooty Fox shenanigans and waiting areas🇨🇦

But it's an arterial bisecting downtown, and making downtown worse, so there should be compromise, and off peak parking is a reasonable compromise . Street parking slows traffic, makes it safer and more comfortable for pedestrians, and increases revenue for nearby businesses. Absolute no-brainer IMO

Radical thought: what if we made the downtown core as car-free and pedestrian friendly as possible?
