Oh, I wish I could so badly. I live in NJ and I don’t have a cat right now after mine passed away a few years ago, but I live with my parents and they’ve been very adamant that I don’t bring any new pets home. However, I miiiight try to convince them by explaining your situation

I'm so sorry you are in this tough spot. I don't envy you. But I would like to suggest surrendering him to a reputable rescue. I foster cats/kittens for 11th hour rescue in Jersey. It's totally possible for him to find another home where he will be loved and deeply cared for. Good Luck!!

i tried calling shelters and stuff and half of them just, wouldnt get back to us or respond, im honestly deeply saddened and frankly disgusted by that but thank you for your concern and well wishes, im hoping something will come through soon for him

I have a similar situation. You're doing the right thing by Birch and I believe you'll find him a new, loving home soon! There may be some local adoption groups that would work with you to bring him to adoption events nearby?

Have you been able to find anyone able to take in Birch yet?

I reposted, try advertising with local vets, maybe? They usually have active social media accounts.

Please do try some of the rescue groups posted here as well as other rescue groups in your area. It can be hard to accurately identify a GOOD home and they have both the experience in doing so and a much larger audience. I wish you success!

i would check out your local (or non local) certified cat behavior specialists instead. you can check thru the pet professional guild or the IAABC director to make sure they're certified and knowledge-assessed. i think there's hope here to change the emotional response btwn cats :-)

Worked for an animal rescue. Always asked for 3 references and if they have or had a pet and had a veterinarian, we called the vet too. Please please be careful rehoming him. ❤️❤️❤️

Hi there im curious where exactly in eastern PA u r? Im in central PA and my son loves cats. We had to rehome our girls before we moved cross country and he's been asking if we could get another one. Do u think Birch can handle a day drive safely? I already love him id love to give him a home

Allentown is only about an hour and a half from me, so not far at all...I saw through the feed that you're talking to someone else about him right now but if that falls through at all id love to try and arrange something. Sweetheart deserves a home
