Before anything else, thank you. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for believing in something bigger than this moment. Thank you for pouring your hearts into Los Angeles and our dream of a city that centers working people, first and foremost.

For months, we walked the streets of Los Angeles together. We knocked on doors in the heat, stood on corners before sunrise, made calls late into the night, and carried conversations into every neighborhood of this city.

We met people where they were, with their hopes, frustrations, dreams, fears, and determination to build a better future. And we did this with limited resources, countless obstacles, and a truly grassroots, underdog campaign unlike anything LA has seen in decades.

I have walked all over our city, hearing stories about how our city can be so much more for our people — especially people whose voices have gone ignored for years. I was reminded of something powerful: Los Angeles is worth fighting for. Not because it is perfect, but because it is ours.
