A few weeks ago I realised I was rapidly approaching burnout. Not with streaming, with life and being neurodivergent etc. The way I have always done things has clearly been pushing me beyond my limits. I came back to streams with a reduced schedule, terrified I'd lose what I've worked for.

It has honestly been so good for me. Ending streams before my ADHD meds wear off and my concentration/energy is depleted has been SO helpful. Learning that having a good energy day doesn't mean I should immediately spend it all, and can and SHOULD reserve some just for me has been life changing.

It's been really nice having that little sense of yearning like, damn I wish I was streaming today! I have to wait til Tuesday??? But then I get excited about the rest and fun I'm going to have, and the other projects I'm going to work on, and that's something I haven't felt in SO long.

I know this could just be another "good" week, and I haven't fixed everything. But I'm so hopeful that the steps I'm taking now are going to keep building habits that will not only help me make better content, but more importantly be a happier, healthier person who isn't constantly overextending.

I'm even beginning to quash the guilt for doing something for myself! And also baffled that my whole life I've felt like I'm being selfish if I do something to look after myself because it *might* mildly inconvenience someone else (it also might not, but try telling my brain that 😅)
