How is Liz Murrill fit to be attorney general if she can't even recognize that the burden is on the state to prove someone is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt? It is not up to the accused to prove their innocence. Civics 101.

“Murrill has asserted that 22 have failed to sufficiently prove their innocence” wtf? Their convictions were overturned. “Innocent until proven guilty” means they are innocent. Period. How dare she demand they prove their innocence after the state stole decades of their lives. This is monstrous.

In this country we are innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. An AG should know this. I learned this in highschool. Liz is unfit for the office she holds.

Low voter turnout, by people that look a lot like him, this state will continue to have officials in office that prevents wrongfully imprisoned men like him from receiving justice or compensation. Low voter turnout is Louisiana’s biggest problem, especially in communities color. Start with this.
