This new paper by Helen Johnson and Nicole Vann Monney asks why community-engaged research can remain tokenistic, even when intentions are good. Their “everyday creativity” model has 4 principles: community-led action, working with existing practice, meaningful engagement and impact, and flexibility
They have developed a free Community Research Resource Pack, with six worksheets covering everything from identifying priorities to research, analysis and action, alongside a Collaborative Poetics Resource Pack for participatory arts-based research.
