Something that would be helpful, if your team has time, is to list some of the products of these companies along with alternatives. Like “better” word docs or AIs to utilize..

Boycott doesn't have to mean totally. If you reduce the amount of things you buy from Amazon it still helps. We need their profits to go down and their management to be fired by the shareholders for supporting fascism, and that can be accomplished with a relatively modest drop in revenue

Dropping Amazon last year was easy. Lots of local and online alternatives. We also added a Costco membership. We've paused Apple hardware purchases and will cut back Apple subscriptions if they keep removing apps like IceBlock.

What the hell are we supposed to do? Change email address from @gmail? Cancel YouTube TV? Stop watching podcasts and interviews on YouTube? Give up YouTube Music and subscribe to Spotify?? Your thoughts, Scott?

Have you tried: - state courts - civil litigation - calling your congressman, senator - calling your Democratic or Republican Party leaders It’s obvious that what you’re proposing will hurt everyone. News flash: Amazon is used by millions of merchants

It is literally hundreds of billions of dollars in sold merchandise from moms and pops, small and large businesses. Now, I realize that we wouldn’t even be in this situation if our elite, Scott included, had any sort of ability to think more or less broadly. We wouldn’t have dead bodies in MN

Great! & let’s add: Project 2025 supporters shaping what is happening now!! Koch Industries owns: * Angel Soft, Quilted Northern, Soft 'n Gentle * Brawny, Sparkle * Dixie cups, plates, & Vanity Fair napkins * Advantage, Spectrum, ImagePlus Uline Coors Walmart ExxonMobil Shell Oil

We need to pick ONE company - not effing ten — and focus the boycott on that one company. A boycott of all these companies will amount to nothing. But people CAN quit Amazon en mass just people did to Disney after Kimmel. THAT we can do. Scare the shite out of the others. Otherwise this is stupid

Uber is probably the most vulnerable cuz there are easy alternatives available to almost everyone in urban areas; use a cab or Lyft. And it’s got to be cancel not just “don’t use.” Make it hurt. Set a number goal, too. 1M. Make no small plans…

1M not 1,000 cancellations by February 28 has to be the goal. “Make no small plans; they have no magic to stir men’s souls and probably themselves will not be realized…” Amazon won’t even notice 1k. And its “cancel” not just “don’t use.” QUIT AMAZON!

I agree. At some point a broad strike might be necessary but rn we’re better off with a targeted boycott likely to dramatically succeed and demonstrate our power. The wider the boycott in a continental, diverse nation of 340m, the lower are chances of impactful success

Next, break your iPhone in two, then your computer. Even if it’s not Apple, it’s another evil corporation. Tell us good bye before you do

Today I didn't use Amazon for some products & went direct to sellers website I got the same products at $120 for $80 direct People need to do this for ethical reasons but they're also going to find these companies are absolutely rinsing them Amazon is a bad product in 2026. I am so glad to leave.

Support for this post comes from GTFO. Expecting hardworking people to uproot life's simple conveniences is just what GTFO is made for.

I have an apple phone 😡, which I’m hating more every update, but the others? easy, I haven’t done business directly with any of these goons since the child rapist was “elected.” One exception is excel. what should I use instead?

so how, exactly, are we supposed to find small business alternatives without Google, Meta, Microsoft Bing? And how, as a small, online business, am I supposed to connect with new customers without social media (organic or paid) ???

6 of those I never use to begin with and the other 4 I limit as much as I can get away with most of the time so not much for me to do there.

There is going to be a whole lot of that happening in Europe. You can try Proton for email and drive. Mistral LeChat for AI. Vivaldi for browser. Super Notes for google keep equivalent.

Amazon is easy folks. Loads of alternatives (e.g., Chewy, for your pet supplies). Also, I’m on here/Bluesky, as opposed to Threads/Instagram, for the month of February. And finally, if your iPhone isn’t shattered, wait a month before buying a new one.
