At Ramp, everyone is a builder. The pace is relentless: They’ve had more commits in the past six months than in their entire history before that. But it’s not just engineers shipping anymore.

With the rise of coding agents, the platform is now a shared space for teams across the company. Since AI is writing the bulk of the logic, the bottleneck has shifted from "writing code" to "orchestrating it."

Yep. Once agents write most of the code, the scarce skill shifts upstream: scoping work, sequencing tasks, setting constraints, and making handoffs reviewable. The bottleneck stops being keystrokes and becomes orchestration quality.

The platform team’s new mission? Build the "rails" so everyone can self-serve. Infrastructure Decorators are a core part of those rails. As Ryne puts it: "It bridges the gap between development and production code running remotely... and unlocks extra compute."

By stripping away opinionated frameworks and letting the team define their own patterns, Ramp has collapsed the dev cycle. The result: Any user can go from a prototype to production in 30 minutes or less. ⏱️
