I pre-orodered the €510 model from Smyths because I don't have to pay anything until I collect it in June. I now have the option of not buying it rather than not being able to buy it if I want to, which is nice

It’s in a maybe stage for me. The price of the system isn’t all that bad or unexpected but the games being $80-$90 gives my pause. I could buy a steam deck or clone and get most of the same third party games at a fraction of that price.

Yes, but not on launch, maybe 6 months to a year later. I don't mind spending that much on a console, but $80 games that never go on sale is a no go for me. I'm interested to see if they're going to continue with the $100 2-game vouchers. That's the only way I'd buy the $70 games previously

A 450 price tag is a little bigger than expected, but it's still a bit manageable. The much bigger problem is games costing upwards of 80-90 dollars. People won't buy the console if the games for it are too expensive. I garuntee if the Switch 2 was 400 and games were 60-70, they'd be selling fast.

I can swallow a large upfront price for a console, $80 per game for a company that insists its games never go down in price and that go on sale once, maybe twice a year, is a very different story.
