Had a ps4 pro from @gamewhisperer.bsky.social that had a busted hdmi port, finally got round to replacing that today!

always forget the amount of screws used to hold these together 🫠

The swap itself was easy. I prep the port with a little solder to the hdmi connector pins beforehand. Once the old port is off, I clean up the old solder with some wick, heat the area again and drop the new on in place.

very happy with the result! Double checked for any loose pins, but there were none :D

fast forward through reassembly (and some fresh paste ofcourse), and am greeted with this screen - all done!
