Trump is doing more or less what he promised (the bit with Musk caught me by surprise) and what his core supporters want. But the voters who put him over the top were repeatedly quoted as saying they interpreted most of what he said as bluster. Musk does not have a democratic mandate to run amok.

All this could be stopped, immediately, if Republicans in Congress were patriots. But they are not, they are quisling fascists. The sooner Americans realize this, & realize fascists cannot be worked with or reasoned with or compromised with, only defeated, is when America has a chance at survival.

Musk wants to replace bureaucracy with Artificial Intelligence that he controls. If people think bureaucrats are bad wait until they deal with his AI robots.

To For With "Do things _____ a community." When you do things "for" a community, you do things "to" a community either unintentionally or arguably, like Musk, intentionally. Leaders do things "with" a community. They invite conversation, allow ideas to develop & grow. Fraudsters do things "to."

I suspect that he’s not delusional, he has simply devolved into telling blatant lies that suit his narrative — he’s criminal and hopefully not even a presidential pardon will protect him from a prison sentence.

If Musk cares so much about the will of the people who doesn't he run for office and let the people decide if they want him in government? Instead he won't even deign to appear at a Congressional hearing. He's the most dishonest and fraudulent person in the country hands down.

I think you're entirely too charitable in assuming that Elmo believes he's "acting on behalf of the people." He's not the genius he pretends to be, but he clearly knows how to sell a massive lie because that's how he runs his businesses.
