There's actually a good video essay out there detailing the historical and cultural reasons why it's always god at the end. As for fighting just dudes at the end, iirc Tales games are usually good with that?

It stinks when nasty walls come up like that in otherwise cool games but glad you got it sorted. Those miniature scanned backgrounds continue to tool pretty sweet.

I think I got to exactly that point in the game and gave up. I was playing on iPad at the time, and I'd like to pick it up on PC and give it another go.

Most RPGS you can luckily just grind a bit if you’re struggling, but Fantasian just doesn’t let you do that 🫩

I've never heard people talk about FFIX'S difficulty like this game though, in FFIX you're only going to face that kind of thing in like, the extra challenge bosses, not bosses blocking your way in story which simply leveling and learning skills should suffice to deal with

great thing with RPGs you can bump into a wall of (somewhat) your own making equally sometimes you can just make yourself too powerful that all walls cease to exist 🤭

I need to come back to this game. I played it when it first dropped on Apple Arcade and I think it wasn’t finished yet. I think they kept adding content to it for like a year or so. Regardless I didn’t finish it 😅
