My favorite apple is the Pit Mason pine apple.... It literally tastes like pineapple! My favorite common apple is honeycrisp, and the one apple I want to try someday... Is the Oxford black apple. So goth! Maybe someday I'll go to Asia and try the completely black apple that they have.

Might want to give Ananas Reinette a try! Ananas being French for pineapple, it also named for being similar in flavor.

I grafted a couple of trees of 'Ananas Reinette' this year. They've taken and grown on well, so I'm hoping to be able to try a direct taste comparison with 'Pitmaston Pine Apple' in three or four years' time 🙂
