That wasn't the protesters! It was people probably from provocateur groups that came in, looted and burned things, then took off with their loot & left protesters to take the wrath of the cops.

Police forces around the world routinely plant agents of chaos in the midst of protests in order to escalate the situation by smashing shit up or worse, thereby giving riot cops the excuse they need to move in and quell the crowds with violence.

I must add that the raids were strange. Their homes weren't guarded, so there's speculation that they were sacrificed so the govt would have an excuse to mobilize the military against "violent protesters". All of the MPs mentioned in the thread are deactivated by their parties as of today.
