I've finished the #WebGPU in the browser series. 4 articles: fundamentals, image processing, real-time ML, and video editing Never written a shader before starting. In the last article we process video at 2ms per frame with WebGPU + WebCodecs joanleon.dev/en/webgpu-br... #WebPerf #JavaScript

joanleon.devWebGPU: the browser's new performance engine | Joan LeónWebGPU exposes the GPU directly to the browser, opening new possibilities for intensive processing: images, video, ML, and more.

Impressive for a first shader series. Is that 2ms the WebGPU compute pass? VideoEncoder.encode() is usually the synchronous wall, and the trick that keeps it off the critical path is handing frames WebGPU→WebCodecs via GPUExternalTexture (zero CPU readback). What resolution were you hitting 2ms at?
