Just wanted to make a reminder which would be the single pinned post on my profile. Single scientific study that has tested practical advantages has failed to find any support for the claim that trans women have an unfair advantage over cis women in physical fitness: bjsm.bmj.com/content/60/3...

All studies before were researching theoretical advantages of average trans women and average cis women. Even they didn't find significant advantages - 0.5% of women have 15% better muscle grip! What a horror. I'm pretty sure there are more cis women with even larger advantages.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. The first study that has researched practical advantages concluded absence of those by current evidences. Burden of proving a theory lies on the one who proposed it. And so far evidences show contrary to it.

To break people's careers and stigmatize them, you need something better than "common sense" (according to which Earth is flat, and they tortured Galileo for breaking their delusion), scientific evidences, especially if theory is basically "some women should be excluded because they are not women."

To continue with an irrelevant argument you can also use (but it's useless, as much more concrete one exists), there are a lot of people with much more unfair biological advantages who are cis. Let me put a list for you.

Eero Mäntyranta - Finnish cross-country skier. Had a DNA mutation which, in short, increased amount of oxygen that was flowing in his blood. After his mutation was found in 1993, was not just not disqualified, but praised as a hero of his country in 2000.

Michael Phelps, a competition swimmer - his body naturally produces less lactic acid. He also has anomalously short legs, double-jointed ankles and elbows, and his wingspan is larger than his height. Praised as the greatest swimmer who has ever lived, despite his unfair biological advantage.

Miguel Indurain, a cyclist. I'll just cite Wikipedia. Start of quote. His blood carried 7 litres of oxygen around his body per minute, compared to 3–4 litres for an ordinary person and 5–6 litres for fellow riders.

His cardiac output was 50 litres a minute; a fit amateur cyclist's is about 25 litres. Induráin's lung capacity was 7.8 litres, compared to an average of 6 litres.

His resting pulse was as low as 28 BPM, compared to an average 60–72 bpm, which meant his heart would be less strained in the tough mountain stages. His VO2 max was 88 ml/kg/min; in comparison, Lance Armstrong's was 83.8 ml/kg/min and Greg LeMond's was more than 92 ml/kg/min. End of quote.

He is praised for being 5 times in a row winner of Tour de France. He was never disqualified, even though he had an unfair biological advantage once again.

Dean Karnazes, ultramarathon runner. His body naturally has lesser lactic acid build-up.

All of those people have or had unfair biological advantages. And under unfair, I mean actually unfair. Show this to your local liberal who praises "common sense" and links far-right website SheWon (to which anyone can upload any delirium) as an evidence.

They ate the propaganda they were fed just because it was "common sense." I post this in wake of recent Supreme Court decision, where 3 Democratic judges were silenced to prevent a trans advocate from saying anything. And I was unpleasantly surprised at amount of people who bought it.
