Please someone explain. I don’t get this at all and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

-Whət's əp? Wəs Dəg gənə cəm? Dəg ləvs brənch. -Nə ə, dəg's stəck 'cəs əf ə tənnəl əbstrəctiən. ə trəck dəmpd ə tən əf əniəns. -əgh. (The schwa, represented by the 'ə' character, is one sound--essentially "uh". Almost every vowel sound in the above exchange is an "uh" sound.)

Had no idea that the sound was called schwa! Thanks!
