I ended doing small talk with my dentist, and the topic of teeth whitening came up. It is a 2 hour operation at about $600. Seemed like a needless expense, and it would be mostly for the looks, but has anyone done it? Was it worth it?

That's a lot. Do some research, there are whitening kits you can buy that are about a hundred bucks and you do it at home. Whether they're effective or not is up in the air.

I have because I had a dental plan that paid for it. I wouldn’t pay for it out of pocket but if insurance pays for it sure I guess.
