For the love of God, stop assuming everyone wants dark themes. Some of us have trouble reading dark themes. It's accessibility and inclusion fail to make things dark-only.

Also, "light themes blind me" -> try with the brightness at a normal setting instead of sell-monitor-in-retail-store mode.

And if they still blind you, I support your choice, just don't impose it on everyone.

Custom theming à la Zed / Ghostty is becoming increasingly important to me. I find I just really dislike everyone’s theme choices.

Right, I always have but recently I'm seeing an uptick in "pitch black is fine for everyone". Never cared if I could change it, but I rage when I can't.

I have this weird preference, where terminal/emacs is fine with my one custom dark theme while I want every other app looking light as always. Something about traditional GUI and dark mode gives me a headache after reading for even a few minutes.

Every day I tell myself to stop getting angry about tech on the internet and every day I fail. LOL.
