If you live in the United States, you are in greater jeopardy today than you were 6 months ago. So is your family. So are your friends & neighbors. Virtually all the important parts of the U.S. government created to protect us are being shut down, gutted, or marginalized. — @djrothkopf.bsky.social

He’s carrying out Putin’s directives at home and on the world stage. There’s no other explanation for the hobbling of our country.

As I've said from the beginning: This was Putin's plan - weaken the U.S. beyond repair. And all it took was to get Elon Musk to spend $300 million - a drop in the bucket for him - to put FELON Trump & Republicans back in power. 77 million Americans made it too easy for Putin bsky.app/profile/donn...

Putin made a deal with Elon. Trump is their useful idiot. They're all getting what they want: Putin: World domination Elon: U.S. taxpayers 100% funding his Mars pursuit/other fantasies Trump: Staying out of jail & getting to pretend he's a king bsky.app/profile/donn... #ElonIsADick

If you've read The Fifth Risk, you know this is part of what government is supposed to do: prepare for the unexpected. Government has to tackle all the things that the market has no interest in.

Once Americans finally realise that Trump doesn’t care about anyone but a Trump, they might wake up to what is happening. Trump is very willing to allow tens of thousands of Americans to die by disease or combat - as long as no Trump is in danger.

That crisis is here. Nuclear threats with Iran. We have incompetent inexperienced fools in charge of our nuclear weapons and defense systems. This is horrifying. This is squarely on the GOP.

Your GOP became a proxy for your Libertarian Party at least 15 years ago. Project 2025 is a fully scoped out version of the 1980 Libertarian Party policy objectives. This has been evolving in plain sight since 1980. No one was paying attention, or if they were, no one called them on it.

American libertarians have been livid with New Deal sociopolitics since there’s been New Deal sociopolitics. But they didn’t start to get traction until Reagan, & the decision by the Koch bros to start buying the GOP. Citizens United sealed it. The rest is just a slow march to the end of 🇺🇸 democracy

It’s almost as if Reagan era republicans looked around and said “oh crap! We’ve educated the proletariat. Now they’re too smart and they’ll never clean toilets again.” They began a quick pivot and reversal to make sure only a certain group of people are able to be bosses/leaders etc.
