Takin a quick 20m banjo break in my favorite summer spot, the porch.

More please! Not sure exactly what it is about banjo music I love so much, but I'm honestly obsessed with that twangly magic

That’s more old timey double c tuning, not the open g that bluegrass tends to use. I play in both but love c the most

Oh interesting! I found that medley to have a delcious lyrical / plangent air... is that down to the tuning? Where would "Duelling banjos" fit into that framing

Dueling banjos is in the narrow (but rad) open g bluegrass 3 finger picks style I play clawhammer, 2 finger and pinch styles. My 3 finger skills are weak but I do practice it! I can play foggy mountain breakdown tho 🤘

Mario isn’t traditional tho lol, that’s me just finding tunes that fit the tuning, there’s a few video game songs I can play 🙂

To confess my ignorance... I had not realised that there was any Mario in there! To me it was all charm and wistfulness

Wait you pick with your whole hand on Banjo?

Yep, clawhammer is my dominant banjo playing pref
