The PHP Foundation is turning 3 🎂 We just renewed our silver sponsorship for another year! Help us maintain and improve PHP, become a sponsor today! We're tired of our 8 person company still being the fourth largest sponsor at $18,000/year, surely you can do better! 💸 #phpc #php

The PHP Foundation is officially 3 years old! 🎉 With a team of 10 engineers, we’ve delivered big features, while improving performance, security, and infrastructure of the language. Huge thanks to our sponsors and the PHP community. Let’s keep building! 🐘💜 thephp.foundation/blog/2024/11...

I'm not sure if a wrong comment that someone made 3 years ago and clearly understood was wrong and thus deleted it, should stop them from getting paid to do more maintenance work, so that bug tickets filed by PHP users actually get fixed? Seems a bit of an overreaction?

The comment was there for while because there was a bigger discussion about it Bigger problem was/is that this comment was made by xdebug author himself I helped a lot of people with php without calling them amateur The question is how many amateurs have this issue like me so it kills sponsorship

Hey, I don't disagree with your opinion of his post and I'm pretty sure he's understood the problem too. I just wonder what you are trying to accomplish now by trying to get people to stop funding the foundation? Did you stop using PHP as a consequence?

Where the hell I tried to stop people from funding the foundation? Read it again. I just said my honest opinion and why I stopped with sponsorship. When php community turned to same kind of dictatorship where you can't say anything without being attacked? I'm in android / kotlin

When you comment on my post asking people to sponsor the foundation about why you stopped sponsoring, I assumed it's for the purpose of letting other people know they should stop too. If not, I'm still not sure why you were trying telling us? And sorry but I don't get what "dictatorship" you mean
