I know the ratio on this is already ridiculous but I was still thinking about it when I got up this morning. We're not your resources. We're not your volunteers. You're the ones constantly asking for OUR money even though most of us have so little. We'll keep primarying anyone who doesn't get that

I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination. Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.

Also, his meltdown is over candidates who won in D+60 Districts? My dude, as someone who lives in NY-7, what General Election Campaign? What volunteers/resources From the DNC/DCC? In my 20 years of living here there’s been minimal investment from the Party in this District.

On point; his sense of entitlement is so thick you could cut it with a knife. And this reeks of open contempt for the party constituents such that he’s willing to refer to them as if they were property. No wonder he’s a perennial loser.

Them: you can't vote for a third party, that's not how our system works, the only thing you can do is try to move the primary left Them, six months later: *crying, throwing up* stop trying to move the primary left, that's OUR party

The last time this asshole got elected I got fired up and went to a party meeting and ended up a ward president. Yippee ki yi yay motherfuckers imma be the change I want to see in the world! Gonna be a delegate! The experience with the establishment was so demoralizing they alienated me for life.

And if you would rather break your party than see it reflect the actual values of the people who do all the work for it? OK, burn it down. We'll build something better in the ashes.

There is someone in the quotes who called the response to this a pancakes/waffles thing, like if we're invested in the party this isn't about us. But I think that is underestimating how hatred of the party is INCREASING as investment does. The betrayal and disappointment is real, y'all.

I am watching people I know, people who have been putting blood and sweat and tears into the democratic Party in ways I never could have, absolutely give up and walk away because they no longer believe it's the best path to change things for the better. The hatred is coming from inside the house.

Anyway it's definitely probably not about me because I've never been to a democratic event and I fundraise for organizations I trust to help people on the ground. The fact that I don't consider the DNC part of that does feel like a THEM problem, though.

As someone who was once invested in the Democrats and now is not, this. Like will I vote for them when there is no better option, sure unfortunately that happens here more than I want, but they have burned whatever grace and trust they ever had with their actions and who they chose to listen to.

I am deeply invested in this Party, and I cannot tell you how disappointed and betrayed I feel. I have given so much money to representatives who turned around and voted against due process. They flatly betray their oaths of office, and then they ask me for more?
