yeah I have so many people replying to me like "they don't plan to answer to the voters" I mean of course they don't but their "plan" is, by all appearances, of underpants gnomes level of sophistication. 1) Do crime in public. 2) ??? 3) Never lose power.

i know one view is that "they don't intend to lose power" but i honestly think this gives them way too much credit.

Genuinely not trying to gloom and doom, just voicing a genuine concern I think there's at least some assumption that, when Democrats are next able to take power, there has been a pattern that prosecuting the outgoing GOP administration's rampant criminality will be decided against for unity or w/e

Honestly while I'm not about to get complacent, their polling numbers with independents are basically apocalyptic. I'm actually starting to focus more on how we keep wishy-washy democrats from hugging and doing "all's forgiven" when this is over. All is not forgiven. Primary anyone who disagrees.
