The AOC thing is maddening. I mean they've always mistreated her, but she is legitimately the most effective communicator they have for the people they need engaged, volunteering, and acting right now... and they HATE HER for being so good at it.

It is 100 percent their fault. They intentionally shut out AOC in favor of an old white guy with cancer. They turned Harris's "fuck those people are so weird" campaign vibe into standard James Carville pablum. It is their fault. And we are all paying the price.

and JAMES CARVILLE yes, great, what we need now are white men who came of age before the civil rights movement, they're definitely the best ambassadors to fight... whatever is happening right now

And I'm not saying we can't have ANY 80 years olds still involved in politics (though I am saying jesus christ if we haven't built a system where they get to RETIRE and CHILL OUT then it feels a little fucked up?) but... Maybe put some folks relatable to the majority of voters out front?

the ones who refuse to retire are nearly all super wealthy already! they can get up to 80% of their salary as a pension for life! if they won't release their death grip on power, it's not bc they can't afford to
