If you're ever feeling bad about yourself: know that a family friend of ours was in the middle of building a house, his wife divorced him, he tore down the house and built a McMansion Duplex so her new family could live there, it took 7 years to build and she ended up moving out of state anyways.

House/compound symmetric along the X axis is the ideal layout. I'll be over here in my separate kitchen knowing exactly where all my cheese is.

it's insane 3 car garages on either side AND they have garage doors on the backside too!

Wow I was thinking maybe he’s a good person for wanting to stay close and raise the family together, but that duplex is just crazy
