NASA dropped an update on Jared's Hobby Rocket. It announces "contract actions" with one contractor. That's the substance of the update, afaict. The fission reactor "is being designed and developed" by DOE and safety and regulatory hurdles appear to largely remain. Launch target still late 2028.

Reminder that nobody wanted this mission. It wasn't on any list of priorities except Jared's. And nobody wanted or asked for Skyfall, which has no point, won't do meaningful science, doesn't derisk any critical technology, and might kneecap the Mars Exploration Program by raiding its budget.
